Virtual Care

If you live outside Seattle, finding a licensed naturopathic physician who accepts your insurance can feel impossible. Virtual Integrative Specialists (VIS) was built specifically to solve this problem. Our licensed naturopathic doctors provide the same comprehensive primary care virtually (via secure HIPAA-compliant video) that we provide in person at our Seattle and Shoreline clinics.

We serve patients from Bellingham to Spokane, Yakima to the Olympic Peninsula, and everywhere in between. Insurance accepted. No referral needed.

What Can Be Done in a Virtual Visit?

Almost everything. Our virtual visits include:

— Full health history intake and review of medical records

— Comprehensive lab orders sent to a lab near you

— Prescription medications sent directly to your local pharmacy

— Specialist referrals to local providers

— Supplement and herbal medicine protocols

— Follow-up care and chronic disease management

— Review of existing labs and second opinions

The only things that require an in-person visit are physical examination procedures and certain tests. For most patients virtual care covers 90% of their needs.

Is Virtual Naturopathic Care Covered by Insurance?

Yes! Most Washington State insurance plans cover telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person visits. We accept Premera, BCBS, Regence, Cigna, LifeWise, First Choice, Aetna, and AmBetter. No referral needed.

  5. Follow up — virtually, at whatever frequency your care plan requires

Good Faith estimate

The rate for uninsured or those who are insured and insurance does not pay are as follows, and are based on the length of time the appointment was booked for, even if the visit ends early. You may also be responsible for fees submitted to your insurance if your insurance does not pay your doctor.

Cost of Visits:

99204 Comprehensive 60 min – New patient visit $320

99215 Comprehensive 60 min – Established patient visit $300

99214 Comp, 45 min – Established patient visit $240

99213 Detailed 30 min – Established patient visit $160

99212 Expanded 15 min – Established patient visit $90

Acupuncture – $150

Blood draw – $50

Visceral Manipulation – $100

Please keep in mind this estimate does NOT account for any potential out-of-network REIMBURSEMENTS from your insurance carrier you may receive.

Visits are expected to be more frequent in the beginning of treatment. Depending on the service provided visit frequency may range from weekly to possibly every 2-3 weeks or even monthly. Once stable, patients may require visits less frequently, as infrequent as once every 12 months for medication management patients.

We do charge $100 for missed appointments OR appointments that are NOT canceled within 24 BUSINESS HOURS of the appointment time.
